Biblical encouragement for every season of life

My friend, Natalie, went to be with the Lord, and I miss her almost every day.

When God first brought her into my life, I believed I was being sent to bless her — to walk with her through cancer, to pray with her, to strengthen her faith, to help carry the burden.

I thought I was the one being called to give.

But God had something deeper in mind.

Somewhere between hospital visits, whispered prayers, tears, and laughter, I realized I wasn’t just there to pour out — I was being filled. Natalie became a gift to me. Her courage, her honesty, her endurance, her quiet trust in Jesus — they marked me. They changed me.

I thought I was the blessing.

But God blessed me with her.

Now she is with the Lord. Whole. Free. Healed in ways this world could never offer. And while my heart still aches with missing her, I feel the echo of a calling that has only grown stronger.

To walk with cancer patients.

To sit in holy spaces.

To speak hope.

To remind them they are not alone.

Natalie, I miss you.

And I thank God for the gift of you. I rejoice that you no longer suffer and look forward to our heavenly reunion.
