Receiving a cancer diagnosis can feel like being swept into a raging storm, but He promises to be with us in the storm. He reminds us in Psalm 34:18 that He is very close to the brokenhearted and those whose spirits are crushed. I have found myself in that very place when I was diagnosed. One thing I can promise you is that if you ask God to be with you and guide you on this journey, He will. You may not feel it every moment, but He will be there in undeniable ways. He provides love, comfort, encouragement, strength, and gentle direction. As you read and reflect, I pray you feel His presence and find fresh courage for the journey ahead.
