Not Always Merry

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

Christmas can be a difficult time of year for many people. Some have seasonal depression, some are triggered, and others are painfully aware of their loneliness. My friend just lost her husband today; it was this time of year we lost my father to COVID-19. God created feasts and parties for His people and delights in our celebrations. While we celebrate, we can still comfort those who are grieving loss this time of year. If you are experiencing grief, know that God wants to comfort you. If you ask Him, you will experience it.

“Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.” Romans 12:15
