Happy New Year! Have you made any resolutions? Taking assessments and creating goals is part of each new year. New growth and development are signs of life. However, did you know there is a destructive way to make a New Year’s resolution? It’s when we decide to change ourselves to gain the love of others. If someone doesn’t love us for who we are, they will never love us for who we aren’t. If you don’t feel loved for who you are, maybe it’s time to stop asses your circle. You don’t have to change for God to love you. The Bible says that while we were sinners, Christ died for us. So, as we are looking into these New Year’s resolutions, do this in the light of God’s love for you.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
Poem
This week’s poem is about being in a relationship with someone who doesn’t have the capacity to love you.
