Sometimes, we face battles that are too difficult to win alone. Maybe we have tried and failed, whether it’s a situation, a habit, a temptation, or any struggle we find ourselves in. God has been mercifully watching, wooing us towards Him because He wants us to be more blessed, free, and delivered than we do. God is a gentleman who always gives us a choice; sometimes, the choice is obvious, but we need to see it more clearly to have the strength to choose rightly.
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:32
He Risks
Because of His great love for us, God is more concerned with our souls than with beating around the bush. He’s loving but not timid and He risks us being misunderstood, and having us mad at Him for our sake. Sometimes, after much time, God is mercifully direct with us. That’s what I felt when I wrote this poem below. Maybe in the middle of our difficulty, our impossibility, we need to humble ourselves and admit that we can’t do it on our own and need His help. What is His response? Grace, forgiveness, encouragement, and power.
“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”
Isaiah 45:22
