The Greatest Love
Not one person on the earth hasn’t sinned. From that moment, Eve and Adam ate the fruit in the Garden of Eden, and sin entered the human race. We will fail if we try to go a week without breaking one of the Ten Commandments. God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to live sinlessly and then take our punishment so that when we sin, we can go to the Father and remind Him of Jesus’ sacrifice and be forgiven. This is the greatest love that He paid, the price we could never pay.
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23
22 In fact under the Law almost everything is cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness [neither release from sin and its guilt, nor cancellation of the merited punishment].

The Greatest Gift
A gift isn’t something we buy the nature of a gift is something that is freely given with no strings attached. God’s gift of salvation and forgiveness is a gift from God. In Jesus’s sacrifice, we are accepted by God, heard by God, and given eternal life.
24 and are being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious, undeserved] [a]grace, through the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,

Prayer
God, I thank You for the greatest gift ever given, forgiveness for my sins and the ability to have a relationship with You. I couldn’t repay it if I wanted to, but you don’t expect me to repay it, only to receive it and allow my life to be healed, changed, and delivered by it. I allow Your Holy Spirit to move through my life and heart to change, heal me, and draw me closer to You and the life You intend for me. Thank you for the gift that I could never repay.
