The love of a mother is intended to be a reflection of God’s love for us. Not everyone is blessed with a good mom, but the hormones God gave to moms are intended to jump-start a potential path for unconditional love. We are all human; only God’s love is perfect, and everyone falls short. I’m one of the lucky ones whose mom tuned into God’s plan to show us kindness and unconditional love. If you have or haven’t had that kind of love, God purposely included Isaiah 49:15 in the Bible for you. It’s for all of us, for even the best moms are human and make mistakes that hurt their children.
“Can a woman forget her nursing child,
Isaiah 49:15
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
If You Want to Be a Good Mom
No one’s perfect; all humans have negative characteristics and unhealed issues. Most moms do their best but make mistakes. When we, as moms lean on God and seek him, we can break negative patterns and teach each generation to do this too. If you have some issues with your mom, give her grace today. We reap what we sow, sow forgiveness. If you want to be a good mom and don’t have the best example, ask God, seek Him to help you, wait for him, and he will help you and heal you. He promised it in Lamentations 3:25.
The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
Lamentations 3:25
to the soul who seeks him.
