Biblical encouragement for every season of life

Surrender

Some struggles feel like lifelong companions—shadows that follow us from childhood into adulthood. Habits, sins, or thought patterns we’d rather hide away often become the very places where God does His most transformative work.

Your heart may echo this simple but profound cry:

“Lord, I need Your help,

I lift this up to You.

For it has been a part of me

Since my tender youth.”

This poem is more than words—it is the heart posture of surrender. It acknowledges two powerful truths: we can’t fix ourselves, and Jesus is faithful to purify us when we bring our brokenness to Him.

The Honesty God Desires

We live in a world that often rewards perfection and polish, yet God delights in honesty. He already knows our hidden struggles, and still He invites us to hand them over.

“I give You all my striving

To keep hidden things within.

I trust in Your forgiveness

To free me from this sin.”

What a relief it is to rest in the truth that forgiveness doesn’t come by hiding, but by confessing. Forgiveness is not something we earn—it’s something we receive.

The Process of Purification

Sanctification—the process of becoming holy—is not instant. Sometimes it feels like two steps forward and one step back. Yet, daily surrender keeps us in the flow of God’s grace:

“Cleanse me so that nothing stays

Not even one small part.

Lord, I’ll give it to You daily

As I lift to You my heart.”

This isn’t about trying harder; it’s about trusting deeper. Each time we place our hearts in His hands, He refines us.

Faith in the Meantime

The “messy meantime” is real. Even when we stumble, God doesn’t let go. He strengthens our weak knees and shaky legs.

“In the messy meantime

With shaking legs, I stand.

Placing both my heart and soul

Into Your loving hands.”

There’s hope here: our faith doesn’t rest on our strength but on His faithfulness.

Living Cleansed and Free

Freedom isn’t just about the absence of sin—it’s about the presence of joy, truth, and praise.

“Thank you, God, my holy Lord

For the grace You’ve given me.

It’s through Your truth and love

That I am cleansed and free.”

This is the outcome of daily surrender: a life marked by freedom, peace, and songs of praise .If you are wrestling with a burden that feels too heavy to carry, let this be your reminder—God’s grace is sufficient, His love is unwavering, and His cleansing power is complete.

Bring your whole self—sins, struggles, and all—to Him. He is faithful to purify, to heal, and to set you free.
