Welcome Spring

God’s intricate beauty and poetic nature are intelligently demonstrated throughout the Bible. Jesus used parables of nature and the seasons to relate heavenly concepts to an earthly audience. These parables are still significant in our lives today because we live on an earth filled with the glory of nature. When we observe nature in the light of His teaching, we can catch and feel the depths of His heavenly messages to us. As we soon celebrate the first day of spring, may we understand His love, plan, and thoughts towards us more deeply.

“The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And the expanse [of heaven] is declaring the work of His hands. Day after day pours forth speech, And night after night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there [spoken] words [from the stars]; Their voice is not heard. Yet their voice [in quiet evidence] has gone out through all the earth, Their words to the end of the world. In them and in the heavens He has made a tent for the sun…”

Winter and Spring

Winter symbolizes death, stillness, and things that may be in hibernation but growing outside of what our eyes can see. However, Spring is a glorious representation of new life. Within one season, we can see tender shoots rising, buds blooming, and birds building nests and hatching their chicks. Spring speaks of life. When we give God our lives, we experience a spring of the soul, no matter what time of year it is or how grey the sky might be.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
